– satellite<\/a> radio<\/a> has launched in canada. I’m having a hard time with the concept of paying $15 a month to listen to something that has thus far been free. It may be because my radio rarely changes off of AM talk radio. I assume there would be *more* talk radio choices, but CFRA is currently free. If you’re into music, especially music that isn’t available on free radio, then it’s probably a good value. I’ll reserve final judgement until I get to play with one.
\n– our experiment with online-by-mail<\/a> movie rentals has come to an end. For $25 a month, we were getting 7-8 movies a month max, which works out to a pretty low per-movie charge. However, we rarely got the movies we wanted, especially new releases. So Rogers will start taking even more of our disposable income (phone, internet, cable, game and movie rentals … they’ll soon be performing our automotive maintenance).
