Dan is super dad. Seriously. Cape and all. Jaia and I (especially Jaia) are so lucky.<\/p>\n

For Father’s Day we bought Dan a beautiful map to be framed and hung in his new office at our new house. In typical Shannen style, I drove him to the map store and let him pick it so that I was sure it would be one he’d really like. Thankfully, he loved the idea.<\/p>\n

On Father’s Day, for the first time, Dan’s mom, sisters and brother were in town to share the day with him. We ran some errands, shopped a little, tried to go to Moxie’s for lunch (a massive storm knocked out the power and we couldn’t even order – boo) and then came home, waited out the rain and had a perfect little BBQ surrounded by family. Jaia was in her glory. Her dad was pretty happy too.<\/p>\n

Later in the evening, we pulled out some old photos of Dan when he was a young lad. More and more I’m surprised at how much Jaia looks like her dad. What do you think??<\/p>\n
